Garden Dyed Yarns
This summer, we’re harvesting our own color to create stunning, naturally dyed yarns. We’ll begin the day with a garden tour and gather fresh botanicals for our dye baths. From there, you’ll move through the dye process step by step — learning how to extract vibrant color, shift hues to expand your palette, and create long-lasting results.

Each participant will dye 200 grams of protein-based yarn (wool, silk, alpaca, mohair, or blends) — enough for a few cozy pairs of socks, gloves, or for adding pops of color to larger projects.

Two hundred grams of wool yarn are included in your registration. You’re welcome to upgrade to alternative fibers for an additional fee; a full list of available yarns will be emailed prior to the workshop. I aim to offer a range of weights and fiber types so everyone leaves with yarn they’re excited to use. If you have a special yarn — such as handspun or fiber from your favorite sheep farmer — reach out in advance, and we’ll discuss options for incorporating it into your dye day.

Our facilities include an air-conditioned classroom, bathroom, and abundant outdoor work spaces. Please dress comfortably for both indoor and outdoor climates, as well as an afternoon of standing, sitting, and brief walking.

Coffee, tea, & treats will be served.

Cancelation Policy

If you need to withdraw from a workshop, a refund will be issued, minus transaction fees, provided that notice is given at least 4 weeks before the workshop date. If shorter notice is given, we will issue a refund if we can fill your spot. You may transfer your enrollment to a friend at any time.
