Winter is the perfect season to slow down and explore the art of making soft chalk pastels from earth and plant-based pigments. In this hands-on workshop, each participant will craft a curated palette of colors while learning about natural pigment sources, binders, and hand-forming techniques. Together, we’ll explore ways to incorporate this medium into your art practice and enjoy a relaxing day of creativity and making.
 
Our facilities include an air-conditioned classroom, bathroom, and abundant outdoor work spaces. Please dress comfortably for an afternoon of standing, sitting, and brief walking. 
 
Southern-style tea and treats will be served.  
 
Cancelation Policy
If you need to withdraw from a workshop, a refund will be issued, minus transaction fees, provided that notice is given at least 4 weeks before the workshop date. If a shorter notice is given, we will issue a refund if we can fill your spot. You may transfer your enrollment to a friend at any time.
